Do you really know what actions do everyday to save the environment? Everyone talks about it today and you have so much information it is difficult to find, keep everything in memory. Yet, in helping to save our planet, you’ll make a lot of savings, leaving you more money to invest in a socially responsible and get rich. For my part, I find it useful to summarize in four main areas, easy to remember, my daily actions for the environment:

Save water, electricity and heating. Leaks of water, those of the flush valve and, in particular. Prefer the shower to the bath. Turn off your appliances instead of leaving them on standby. Use compact fluorescent bulbs that last much longer and use less. Heating at 1 ° C lower, you will earn 7% on your heating bill. Check the energy label before buying appliances, choosing those who consumed the least.


Save on transport. Prefer walking or cycling for short journeys, it allows you to stay in shape. In town for your longer trips, prefer public transportation to your car. In Paris the metro is on average 10 km / h faster than a car. Drive in a flexible way to save fuel, with tires properly inflated. For your long trips, prefer the train to the plane, more polluting, when possible.

Rent, maintenance and repair. This avoids producing more than necessary, to take the planet more resources than we need to live. It will cost still much cheaper than buying. More and more people in big cities, renting a car only when they need it and use public transport every day.

Buy local, organic and seasonal. This avoids the use of chemicals, pesticides, and prevents the product has performed two times around the earth before arriving in your cart. Banish packaged products, focusing on the eco-refills. Prefer, for example, products stamped “NF Environment” or “AB” (Organic Farming) to protect the environment or buy products labeled “Max Havelaar” or “Artisans of the world” to promote fair trade. And watch out for labels that self-appointed do not guarantee anything. It’ll then have to sort in your waste when you have the proper trash!
