CCNW is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services (COA) through November of 2009. Founded in 1977, the COA is an international, independent, not-for-profit child/family service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization.

COA accreditation is both a significant achievement and a powerful promise. It means that Consumer Counseling Northwest has met the most rigorous, internationally recognized standards of excellence both in the quality of our services and in the quality of our agency’s management. It also represents our commitment to continually improve our services to the community. Go to www.coastandards.org to learn more.

The COA Accreditation process examines the agency’s performance in nine critical areas:

  • Service Delivery
  • Internal Financial Management Practices
  • Business Ethics and Client Rights and Responsibilities
  • Quality Improvement
  • Governance and Administration
  • Management of Human Resources
  • Service Environment
  • Training and Supervision
  • Risk Management
