CCNW has been approved by the Executive Office of U.S. Trustees to provide Pre-Discharge Debtor Education to help individuals and families learn how to stabilize and improve their long-term financial health. This education component is mandatory under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005.

CCNW has been helping people gain control of their financial lives since 1970. Our Financial Educators will help you learn how to manage your money, create financial goals for you and your family, use credit wisely, access your credit reports and scores, and how to avoid financial pitfalls in the future.

For those attending an in-person class, you will also receive a copy of the book “Live a Richer Life – A Roadmap to Personal Financial Health Following Bankruptcy” as a reference for you to use as you rebuild your financial life.

You will receive your certificate immediately following your successful completion of the in-person class and within a few days following your successful completion of the Online Financial Seminar.

We offer two ways for you to fulfill the financial education component of the BAPCPA of 2005. You can either schedule an appointment with a counselor, at one of 3 locations. If you would like directions to our office locations, please click here.

The Second Option available to you is an Online Financial Seminar that meets the BAPCPA requirements. You can access the Seminar site from a location of your choice.

If you choose to do an in person Pre-Discharge Bankruptcy Education class the cost is $50 for individuals or $75 for a couple. The fee must be paid online, by mail, or in person before you attend the class at a CCNW Classroom. Payments will be accepted by debit card, money order, or cash. All three CCNW Offices have debit card terminals for your convenience. We’re sorry that we can not accept Personal Checks.
