Protecting your privacy is of the utmost importance to Consumer Counseling Northwest. Our Privacy Policy describes how Consumer Counseling Northwest (CCNW) handles information that we learn about people who contact us by phone, mail or e-mail, utilize our website, attend one of our classes or presentations, or visit one of our offices.
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information to third parties without a signed release from our client authorizing CCNW to share or to exchange information. Nonpublic personal information includes any personally identifiable financial or demographic information that is not publicly available.
CCNW will release nonpublic personal information if legally ordered to do so by local, state or federal courts having jurisdiction over CCNW. CCNW collects nonpublic personal information from information obtained from our client applications; from nonaffiliated third parties concerning the clients' transactions with them; from financial institutions and credit granting institutions reporting on the clients' transactions with them; from collection and recovery groups; and from credit reporting agencies.
CCNW may use aggregated information for the purpose of evaluating our services, gathering general demographic characteristics, and creating future community services. No nonpublic personal information that could identify any individual is ever published or available to any non-affiliated third parties through research studies.
If you visit a CCNW website to browse, read, order items, apply for online counseling, or download information:
- CCNW automatically collects and stores the name of the domain and host from which you access the internet; the internet protocol address of the computer you are using; the browser software you use and your operating system; the date and time you access our sites; and the Internet address of the site from which you linked directly to our sites. CCNW only uses this information as anonymous aggregate research data to determine the number of visitors to different sections of our sites and to help us make our sites more useful. CCNW does not track or record information about individuals. This information is deleted from our system on a regular basis.

All employees have signed confidentiality agreements that safeguard your privacy and only specific employees are authorized to access your nonpublic personal information while serving your interests or performing quality control reviews. E-mail that you send to CCNW is not necessarily secure against interception. If your e-mail communication contains sensitive private information, such as account numbers or your Social Security number, please communicate that information to CCNW via secure online forms, written mail, by landline, hard-wired telephone or in person.
- The CCNW website provides links to websites maintained by other agencies and organizations. Once you access another group's website, you are subject to the privacy policy of that site.
