Consumer Counseling Northwest needs your help to achieve it Mission of "Building Better Lives Through Financial Education and Counseling." We are looking forward to the upcoming roll out of our Volunteer Educator Program, and we need passionate people to teach financial literacy to classes throughout the Northwest. If you’re background is in the financial industry and you are looking for rewarding and intellectually challenging volunteer work, CCNW can provide the opportunity.
Our Volunteer Educators will lead a variety of seminars and workshops that help people better their lives. Sometimes our Volunteer Educators will be:
- giving classes in schools to help kids learn the difference between wants and needs
- leading a group of adults in one of our CCNW Seminar Rooms to help them understand how to create financial goals for the future
- working with a group of seniors to help them budget their resources
- teaching community members in one of our Public Libraries how to fight Identity Theft
We provide complete training, at your pace, to make sure you feel comfortable before you are asked to lead a seminar. As part of our Volunteer Training Program, you’ll co-teach seminars and workshops with one of our CCNW educators and learn how to organize both pre- and post-class responsibilities. We provide Leader’s Guides and complete resources for each of your workshops.
Volunteering as educators at CCNW can be a fulfilling experience for everyone and can also serve as a résumé builder for students.
